Carrie Underwood to Host 2019 CMA Awards, Brad Paisley Out
Carrie Underwood will return to host the 2019 CMA Awards with two iconic guests hosts, but longtime partner Brad Paisley will not share her stage. For the first time in more than a decade, a major change has been made in the hosting role at the CMA Awards.
Two country icons will join Underwood as special guests hosts; Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire will help the "Southbound" singer celebrate the iconic women of country music throughout the night. The 2019 CMA Awards air on ABC at 8PM ET on Nov. 13.
Underwood and Paisley first co-hosted the CMAs in 2008. Their 11-year run falls second to Vince Gill's 12 years as the shows host. McEntire is a veteran host at both the CMA Awards and ACM Awards, and Parton has hosting experience as well.
This will be the second-straight awards show McEntire has hosted following the 2019 ACM Awards on CBS.

In addition to the hosting news, a press release shared that the nominees for the 2019 CMA Awards will be revealed on Good Morning America on Aug. 28. Underwood is a multi-time CMA Award and regular nominee in the Female Vocalist category. Unlike Parton and McEntire, she's not yet won the Entertainer of the Year award, although a strong year touring figures to give her a serious shot this year.
Performers, presenters and other details about the 53rd annual CMA Awards will come as the show gets closer.
