Teenage Driver Loses Control – Passenger Killed in Rollover Crash
Wells, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded yesterday to a fatal crash west of Albert Lea.
The deadly incident was reported around 1 PM on a curve along a highway about 5 miles west of Wells in Faribault County. The State Patrol says a 17-year-old was driving a pickup truck and lost control when the vehicle drifted onto the shoulder while rounding the curve. The pickup ended up sliding across both lanes of the highway and rolled in the ditch.
His passenger, a 39-year-old man from Wells, was killed, while the 17-year-old driver was transported to St. Marys Hospital with unknown injuries. Their names have not been released.
