Rochester Woman Among Four Injured in Separate Crashes
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman was among the four people injured in separate traffic crashes in southeastern Minnesota yesterday and early today.
The State Patrol says 37-year-old Rachel Bosire was headed south on Highway 63 when she lost control and crashed in the ditch near the Rochester Airport around 2 PM. A similar crash injured a Wabasha County woman shortly before 6 PM. The State Patrol says 28-year-old Alyssa Rosewood was driving south on Highway 61 in Lake City when she lost control and crashed into a parked pickup truck.
About a half-hour later, the State Patrol responded to an injury crash in Fillmore County involving a moped. 69-year-old Donnie Simonson of Grand Meadow was driving a moped on Highway 63 in Spring Valley when the driver of a car headed in the opposite direction turned left in front of him and he was forced to lay down the moped to avoid a collision.
The State Patrol is reported alcohol may have been a factor in the fourth crash, which occurred just before 2:20 this morning on I-35 near Ellendale. The report on the incident says 20-year-old Evan Horstmann of Austin was driving a pickup and had stopped on the right shoulder of northbound I-35 with his lights off when he pulled back onto the free into the path of a semi-truck driven by an Iowa man. He was not hurt, but Horstmann and the three people hurt in the other crashes were transported to St. Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
