Rochester Woman Arrested After Fight at Rochester Smoke Shop
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman has been arrested after a fight broke out at a Rochester smoke shop.
Rochester Police said 33-year-old Krystal Phillips entered the Broadway Smoke Shop in the 1900 block of South Broadway and attempted to purchase some items around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
A new employee, who had been working there for only a few weeks, rang up the items incorrectly on accident. Another employee told police that this upset Phillips, who then went behind the counter, pushed the new employee, and knocked the employee to the ground.
Officers arrived and a second employee told Police that Phillips pushed the new employee. Phillips then charged at the second employee but was stopped by Police before she could reach the employee.
Phillips was detained and while officers took her to a squad car, she attempted to bite one of the officers but was unsuccessful. Phillips is facing possible charges of 5th-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of the legal process.
