The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Friday, says officers executed a search warrant as part of an identity theft investigation on November 26.

A post published on the zoo’s Facebook page says law enforcement responded to search the grounds.

The victims told police they were chased for about 50 yards before they managed to get away.

His criminal history includes 4 previous convictions for felony theft.

The chase began after a Rochester police officer saw him with run a red light and nearly causing multiple collisions by stopping in the middle of a busy intersection.

The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court earlier this week, states the alleged vehicle theft happened last October.

The case is the result of an investigation initially started by the Department of Homeland Security.

The charges say a detective was portraying a 14-year-old girl on apps and websites known to be “frequented by people who solicit children for sex.”

A 2nd man convicted in the case is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

2 other men charged in the case are scheduled to stand trial later this year.
