Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man described by Rochester police as homeless spent the night in jail after he was caught robbing a local convenience store.

Officers were called to the Kwik Trip store on Bandel Rd NW around 8:45 pm Monday.

A clerk said a man had brought some items to the counter and then gestured as if he had a gun. The clerk gave the man cash from the register and he left on foot.

Officers found him nearby and arrested him. All the money the man took was recovered. The man did not have a gun.

He was identified as 26-year-old Jonathon Kohrt. He was arrested on an aggravated robbery charge.
