Rochester Man Killed in Minneapolis Shooting
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The victim of a shooting last weekend in Minneapolis has been identified as a 20-year-old Rochester man.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says Davante Dashaun Williams died after he suffered multiple gunshot wounds outside a home in South Minneapolis early Sunday. Three other people were wounded in the shooting, including a woman who was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Minneapolis police reported that officers responded to the crime scene around 2:30 AM after receiving a 911 call. The officers found the victims outside the home and investigators determined the gunfire erupted during what started as a verbal altercation.
At last report, there had been no arrests in the case. It was the 12th murder in Minneapolis this year.
