If you're a fisherman or fisherwoman add this fishing pier to your bucket list. It's the longest fishing pier in the entire state of Minnesota and it looks like it never ends. It puts you so far into the lake that there's got to be great fishing there.

This special fishing pier is in central Minnesota. It's north of St. Cloud and just west of Brainerd. You'll find it in Staples, MN at Dower Lake Park and Fishing Pier. It's a little west of the main town of Staples down Highway 10.

It looks like you'll be walking forever just to get to the end. But I'm sure it's totally worth it. There are benches for you to sit and relax while fishing. I don't fish and I still want to check this out because I bet the views are really cool.

Let's hang out on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! (@carlyrossonair)

Since it's kind of a hike to get up there, Dower Lake Park does have a campground so bring your tent or RV with you and spend the night, the weekend, or the week there and enjoy some fishing on Minnesota's longest fishing pier. Also, there's plenty of space to explore around the park other than the fishing pier. The park is a total of 54 acres with a "softball complex, 9-hole disc golf course, basketball court, swimming beach, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, picnic shelter, picnic areas, public lake access" according to the official Staples, MN website.
