Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  This may go into the weather record books as the warmest Memorial Day weekend ever in the Rochester area. It started immediately with a new record high Friday.

The National Weather Service says the temperature at the Rochester airport hit 90-degrees at 1:43 PM Friday to set a new record. The previous record was 89, set in 1980. Forecasts call for mid-90s all the way through Monday, which could result in record highs every day.

The storm that hit Rochester Friday night produced some beautiful images but not a whole lot of rain.

Most reports to the NWS from around Olmsted County were around half an inch. Totals in Rochester were less than that with a quarter inch at St Marys Hospital and a third of an inch at the city airport. That was the highest daily total since May 11.

Dry weather is expected through Monday.
