'Prolific Baby Formula Thief' Pleads Guilty To Rochester Case

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minneapolis man has pleaded guilty in a Rochester theft case involving baby formula.

When arrested in 2020, police described 60-year-old Leslie Robinson as a “prolific baby formula thief.”

He was arrested after he was caught wheeling a cart full of baby formula containers worth $1500 out of the South Target store.

In February 2020, Robinson was caught stealing more than 90 cans of baby formula from the north Walmart store. At the time, police said Robinson was “well known to Walmart loss prevention officers” at other stores in Minnesota. A criminal complaint listed 20 cases in numerous cities dating back to 2016. Among them was a theft in Owatonna that totaled nearly $10,000.

Under a plea agreement, Robinson pleaded guilty Thursday to one of the Rochester cases and the other was dismissed. He will be sentenced in April.
