The Caledonia Warriors turned up the pressure and took down the Spring Grove Lions 81-31 in Girl's Basketball at Caledonia High School Monday night on 103.1 KFIL.

Spring Grove jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Warriors came storming back and scored the next ten points. The Lions just couldn't keep up with the pace, as the Warriors were able to force turnovers and get into transition to extend their lead.

When the Warriors weren't getting layups, the were hitting their 3s, knocking down 10 3s in the first half. The Warriors created a 37-13 in the middle of the half, and then finished the first half on a 10-3 run to take a 47-16 lead into the half.

Lauryn Bohr was solid for the Lions, as well as Mariah Edgington who came off the bench with a lot of energy. The Lions tried to work the ball in the paint and get looks near the rim, but the Warriors defense was swarming.

The Lions did have some success when they got near the rim, which is where Bohr, Edgington and Harlee Gavin had most of their points.

The Warriors scored the first four points of the second half, and rode out the second half with good shooting and forcing more turnovers. The Warriors jumped out to a 60-20 lead early in the half, and finished the game winning 81-31.

Katie Tornstrom, Jenna Twite and Amber Conniff all finished with 12 points for Caledonia.
