Nine Area Teams Ranked in This Week’s Minnesota High School Football Rankings
Nine teams in the area cracked the Top 10 after Week 6 of the high school football season, including two teams that are ranked #1 this week in Stewartville (Class 4A) and Chatfield (Class 2A).
The Tigers have a tough matchup again this week hosting Winona after taking down Kasson-Mantorville in Week 6. The Chatfield Gophers have a Thursday night showdown with Triton.

Nine-Man Minnesota High School Football Rankings
Lanesboro remained at #2 this week and Spring Grove fell from #5 to #6 despite a win in Week 6. The Burros take on Mabel-Canton in Week 7 again, who received votes this week. You can listen to the matchup between Mabel-Canton and Lanesboro on 103.1 KFIL this Friday night.
Spring Grove moved to 6-0 after a win over LeRoy-Ostrander in Week 6, but was lept by Verndale in this week's rankings. The Lions will travel to Spring Valley and battle the Kingsland Knights and their strong run game.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross remained at #1.

Class A Minnesota State High School Football Rankings
Fillmore Central jumped up one more spot in the rankings this week after a big win over Kenyon-Wanamingo in Week 6 action. The 6-0 Falcons will battle Wabasha-Kellogg on the road next week.
BOLD, Lester Prairie, and Mahnomen/Waubun were #1, #2, and #3 this week.
Rushford-Peterson received votes this week. The Trojans picked up their 5th win of the season against Randolph in OT last week. They look to win their 5th in a row when they battle Hayfield Friday night.

Class AA Minnesota High School Football Rankings
The #1 ranked Chatfield Gophers knocked off then #3 Caledonia in Week 6 action in what was a terrific football game (We had the broadcast on 103.1 KFIL). The Gophers remained at #1 while Caledonia fell to #5 after their first loss of the season.
Minneapolis North remained at #2, Barnesville moved up to #3, and Jackson County Central made the jump to #4.

Rochester Lourdes has won five straight since the team lost its season opener to #1 ranked Chatfield, while Cannon Falls' lone loss is to the Lourdes Eagles. Those two squads came in at #4 and #5 this week. Last week they were #5 and #6.
Plainview-Elgin-Millville, whose two losses are to Rochester Lourdes and Cannon Falls, fell from the Top 10 this week but did receive votes this week.

Stewartville, the lone team in the area to crack the Top 10 this week, moved to 6-0 on the season after a big win over Kasson-Mantorville last week. The Tigers remained at #1 and take on 5-1 Winona this week at home. Winona received votes this week.
Hutchinson, the defending Class AAAA champion, moved up to #2. Simley is at #3, Mound Westonka is at #4, and Becker is #5.
