Caledonia’s Noah King Named Finalist For Mr. Football Award
Caledonia Quarterback Noah King was named a finalist by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association this week for the state's top honor for a football player, Mr. Football.
King is joined by nine other players throughout the state to be named a finalist for the award.
The Mr. Football award is sponsored by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Minnesota Vikings. The award originated in 2004 and last year award winner was Jason Williamson of Owatonna.
King has had an exceptional career for the Warriors. He has been the starting QB the past two seasons with some great numbers. King is 274-of-486 for 4,167 yards and 54 touchdowns in just 36 games played, which is over 15 yards per completion. He has also tacked on 1,130 yards at 6.2 yards per carry and 26 rushing touchdowns.
King has also been great on the defensive side of the ball, tallying up 53 tackles and seven interceptions, two of which went back for touchdowns.
The Senior has been exceptional for the Warriors this season, and throughout his career. King also signed earlier this month to play DI basketball at South Dakota State University.
