In 1925 today's date, New York Yankees' shortstop, Everett Scott ended his 1,307 consecutive game streak.  Scott's record started while he was playing for the Boston Red Sox.

1953  St. Louis Browns' pitcher Bobo Holloman threw a no-hitter against the Philadelphia Athletics in his first major league start.  It was the only complete game in the majors that Holloman pitched.

1982   Gaylord Perry of the Mariners became the 15th pitcher to rack up 300 victories.  Mariners beat the Yankees 7-3.
