Good morning!  The rain is much needed and refreshing.  Here's a few things to chat about while you're dodging raindrops.

1942  Virginia Wynette Pugh - Tammy Wynette - was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi.  The First Lady of Country is a Country Music Hall of Fame member and had huge hits including, probably her most famous, "Stand By Your Man".

1999  Faith Hill is a big winner of the Academy of Country Music Awards.  Single Record and Video of the Year for "This Kiss"; Top Female Vocalist; and Vocal Event with her husband, Tim McGraw, for "Just  To Hear You Say That You Love Me".

2009  A Tony nomination for Best Original Score for "9 to 5 The Musical" is given to Dolly Parton.
