Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - The family of the young Minneapolis girl who was shot in the head Monday night says she has died.

Family members say 6-year-old Aniya Allen “was heading home from McDonald’s with her mother when gunshots were fired through the car window and she was struck in the head.”

She was the third child to be shot in Minneapolis in the past two weeks.

A fundraiser has been set up to help the family pay medical and funeral expenses. As of Thursday morning, it had raised nearly $50,000.
