Two Injured in Traffic Crash in Fillmore County

Peterson, MN (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol was involved in a traffic crash early Monday in Fillmore County.
The State Patrol says a pickup truck was driving on Highway 16 in the town of Peterson around 2:45 AM when it “left the roadway and crashed into the ditch.”
Both the driver and passenger were taken to a La Crosse hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was identified as 28-year-old Joshua Mitchell of Lanesboro. The passenger was identified as 36-year-old Matthew Soppa of Peterson.
The State Patrol says they were not wearing seatbelts and both had been drinking.
