Southeast Minnesota is loaded with basketball talent, there is no doubt about that. It was proven once again when the Top-10 finalist for Mr. Basketball of Minnesota was released Monday.

Three players from Southeast Minnesota were on the list of Top-10 finalists, including Nate Heise (Lake City), Noah King (Caledonia) and Gabe Madsen (Rochester Mayo).

These three players have been leaders on their team on just their senior seasons, but their junior seasons as well. Here is the full list of finalists from Mr. Basketball of Minnesota's Twitter account, listed in alphabetical order:

Ben Carlson, East Ridge
Steven Crowl, Eastview
Dain Dainja, Park Center
Drake Dobbs, Eden Prairie
Dawson Garcia, Prior Lake
Nate Heise, Lake City
Noah King, Caledonia
Gabe Madsen, Rochester Mayo
Jalen Suggs, Minnehaha Academy
Kerwin Walton, Hopkins

Heise, King, and Madsen are three great players, two have committed to play at the Division I level in Heise and Madsen (Northern Iowa and Cincinnati) and King recently opened back up for recruitment after committing from South Dakota State University.

It goes to show the talent that the State of Minnesota has, and it should also make for some really good basketball down the stretch when playoffs arrive.
