The Rushford-Peterson Trojans were hitting shots from all over the floor in their 64-43 win over Fillmore Central Friday night in Preston.

The Trojans and Falcons traded buckets early, but the Trojans started to heat up from the floor, the Falcons went cold. With the Trojans leading 11-10, Rushford-Peterson went on a 29-10 run to finish the half and take a 40-20 lead into the break.

Luke O'Hare was great in the first half with 18 points, while Malachi Bunke added 9 for the Trojans. They played with patience and were methodical as they worked their offense to get open looks.

The Falcons played hard, and Carson Kiehne was great. He led the team with 18 points, including eight in the first half. Kiehne was able to find open lanes to cut into to get to the hoop, and then did a great job defensively.

The hot-shooting Trojans were just too much to overcome.

Justin Ruberg had 12 points and 14 rebounds in the win for Rushford-Peterson to earn the Kingsley Mercantile Game Ball award, while Zach Haugerud added 14 for Fillmore Central.

The Trojans were able to use the clock to their advantage in the second half and did a great job of getting good looks near the rim en route to the 64-43 win.
