I can think of no better thing to honor than the beauty of flowers.  The City of St. Charles agrees and is celebrating Gladiolus Days this week!  The good folks of St. Charles really know how to do it right!  Many family-friendly activities are planned all week long starting with a teen dance Wednesday at Moose Lodge.  The Prairie Fire Children's Theater will perform "Alice":  There will be a model train railroad show, inflatable bounce houses, youth 3 on 3 basketball tourney and much more!  Adults will enjoy softball and volleyball tourneys, a 1860's baseball game, music with Diesel Drive and "Kiss the Pig" contest. Shop till you drop at city wide garage sales. A craft and flea market will be held at the fairgrounds.  The flower of the hour, gladiolus will be on sale.  And of course, the grand parade Sunday afternoon at one.  Wow!  Gladiolus Days sounds like a great time, doesn't it?  Make your way over to St. Charles through Sunday for all the fun!
