The Rushford-Peterson Trojans offense was shooting the ball well early and carried that throughout the game en route to a 78-52 win in Rushford.

It was the final regular-season game for both teams and the Trojans were just able to answer every run that the Falcons stared. Rushford-Peterson jumped out 8-0 right away and used the momentum throughout the half to take a nice lead into the break.

It was a balanced scoring attack centered around Malachi Bunke, Luke O'Hare, Justin Ruberg and Ben Weiser in the first half. The balanced scoring helped the Trojans with a consistent offense, along with a defense that was great on the glass, and great slowing down the Falcons.

Zach Haugerud led the way for Fillmore Central, and had some excellent drives into the lane, along with with some great play in transition.

The deciding factor in this one was the hot start for the Trojans, along with their ability to get back on defense and not let the Falcons run in transition.

The Trojans finished the game with a record of 12-13, while the Falcons fell to 4-22.

Rushford-Peterson earned the 7 seed in the Section 1A playoff and will take on #11 Wabasha-Kellogg, while Fillmore Central will take on Mabel-Canton Monday night in a Section 1A Pigtail game.
