Rochester Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery of Large Amount Of Pot
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - What began as a routine traffic stop in Rochester became a sizable drug bust.
An Olmsted County deputy made the stop Thursday night and became suspicious when an odor of marijuana was detected while talking to the driver.
A search of the interior of the vehicle turned up some THC vaping oil, 48 grams of marijuana, and evidence of dealing. The deputy then checked the trunk and found “a large amount” of marijuana.
The deputy had the vehicle impounded for a further search and arrested the driver.
He was identified as 25-year-old Momin Hammadelniel of Rochester. He was also ticketed for driving with a suspended license.
