Rochester Mail Thief Caught; Credit Cards, Checks Were In Her Car
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A suspected Rochester mail thief has been charged with felony theft.
Rochester police officers were called to an apartment complex March 31st and were told by the property manager that "residents had been recently reporting missing mail and packages.”
A surveillance camera helped identify a woman as the suspect and she was spotted in her car in a parking garage at the complex before officers arrived. When told police had been contacted the woman fled on foot. Officers found the woman nearby.
A search of her car turned up “approximately 15 credit cards, over 25 pieces of mail and multiple checks all labeled as belonging to different individuals.”

The woman - 42-year-old Shannon Deheve - was arrested and charged with mail theft. She was also charged with a felony drug count after some methamphetamine was found in the car.
