Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - Three men were robbed and one was pistol-whipped in Byron over the weekend.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Capt. Jim Schueller says the three had just locked up and were leaving The Compadres restaurant around 2:45 am Sunday when they were confronted by two men. The men were wearing masks and one had a handgun.

Schueller says one of the victims was shoved into the wall of the building, hitting his head. Another was hit over the head by the gun. The thieves took the victims’ phones and two wallets containing nearly $1300 in cash. They then fled on foot. Schueller says the two victims who were assaulted did not seek medical attention. One of the victims is part owner of the business.

The restaurant is located at 505 Frontage Rd NW.
