What a weekend! Wow. Went to the movies, hung out at the Bear Cave Backyard BBQ Bash and watched the Vikings stroll to victory and the Twins get a much needed sweep! All in a span of two days!

Saturday morning came early for me, as I was in our studio in Preston for another great edition of Coaches Corner! A huge thanks to all of the coaches that make it possible to help our listeners get a quick recap of the games from the past week, as well as some insights on upcoming games. I love hosting coaches corner and I am glad that our listeners get a great opportunity to listen in from some of the best sports minds in southeast Minnesota.

After Coaches Corner, I had to hustle my way back to Stewartville for the Bear Cave Backyard BBQ Bash. I was playing some music and chatting with all the chefs, and it was an awesome time. They each have their own way of doing things and really made some amazing, different flavors. I was truly surprised to taste 12 different pulled pork recipes. It was INCREDIBLE. Seriously. Those chefs know how to cook.

After the cooking was done, The Reunion Band hit the stage and Lost Highway followed for an amazing night with beautiful weather (after the sun went down, boy was it hot!). It was a long day on my feet (I don't think I sat down until 6pm) but it was a great day.

What better way to cap off Sunday than with a purple win? UMMMM NOTHING! Case Keenum and company were great. Yeah, Case Keenum was our QB and he looked fantastic. What a day! I also reffed some 4-6th grade flag football. Those were some great athletes too! I think all of those kids were faster than me (Which isn't saying much, lets be honest.) Oh, and the Twins are 4.5 up on the Angels for the last AL Wild Card spot! Let's GO!

A very busy weekend indeed, but it was still great to get out in what was (hopefully) the final hot days of the year!

How was your weekend?
