Rochester Man Arrested in Southeast Minnesota Burglary Case
Preston, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have arrested a Rochester man suspected of committing a recent burglary in Fillmore County.
Deputies from the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a burglary at a rural residence in western Fillmore County on Jan. 2.
It was determined someone had entered an unoccupied home and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
Law enforcement obtained and shared a photo of a maroon 2005 Jaguar four door sedan suspected of being used by the burglar.
A news release issued by the law enforcement agency on Thursday says the suspect, identified as 68-year-old Maurice Golston, was arrested at an undisclosed address in Rochester.
Golston was taken south to the Fillmore County Jail in Preston where he was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary. He is awaiting his first appearance in Fillmore County Court, which has not yet been scheduled as of Thursday morning.
The Rochester Police Department assisted the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office with Golston’s arrest.
