Last night, KFIL broadcasted the girl's basketball game between Chatfield and Fillmore Central in Harmony. The Falcons lead by four, 23-19, at the break, led by Paige Bennett's three three-pointers. The Gophers revved up the offense in the second half behind Megan LaPlante. With the score tied at 27, the Gophers bursted to a 16-3 run, and the Falcons couldn't recover.  The final score was 51-38 in favor of Chatfield, who have won six in a row, and are 5-0 in 2016. 

The “Player of the Game” awards went to Megan LaPlante of the Gophers, who scored 14 of her game-high 22 in the 2nd half, and thieved seven steals, and Kendyl Bennett of the Falcons, who led them with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

The “Game Ball” was awarded to Mariah Bell of Chatfield, who pitched in 10 points in the paint, and had a couple big buckets during the 2nd half run to help the Gophers pull away.
