Country Music History January 12

Holy birthday cake!  January 12 seems to be the day for birthdays!  If today is your birthday, you are keeping company with some very talented people.

Way, way back in 1905, Country Music Hall of Fame member, Maurice "Tex" Ritter was born in Texas.

One of the smoothest voices in country music belongs to Ray Price, who was born in 1926 in Peach, Texas.  "For The Good Times" is probably Price's most noted song.

The Oak Ridge Boys member, William Lee Golden, hails from Brewton, Alabama and was born January 12, 1939.

"From A Jack To A King" singer, Ricky Van Shelton, was born in Virginia in 1952.

And finally, singer Keith Anderson was born in 1968 in Miami, Oklahoma.  Keith sings one of my favorite songs "Pickin Wildflowers".
