Explosion Rocks Minneapolis School
Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - A developing story from the Twin Cities. Multiple news media reports indicate there was a large explosion Wednesday morning at Minnehaha Academy and at last part of a building has collapsed.
The explosion occurred in the school’s Upper Building, apparently around 10:30.
As of 11 a.m., a fire was still burning and there are reports of people trapped in the rubble. Officials say three people are still unaccounted for. Some victims were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
There were an unknown number of students and staff in the building at the time of the explosion. Witnesses described the explosion as very loud. It was apparently triggered by a natural gas leak
The academy is a private pre-k to 12th-grade Christian school in Minneapolis.
