Ben grew up in Mabel, Minnesota before going on to get a degree from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. He spent much of his youth listening to Twins games on KFIL. Ben moved on and wrote articles for his college sports website and also wrote Rochester Honkers game summaries while interning with Townsquare Media in Rochester. Ben likes most all the sports, though he knows the letdown that is associated with the Minnesota teams. One of his first CD's was Alan Jackson, and you can hear a mix of country music, from Merle Haggard to Taylor Swift when Ben is on air.

FC/L’s New Digs Broken In
Thursday afternoon, once I got off work in town, I headed over to catch as much of the baseball doubleheader as I could. Caledonia took game one, and Lanesboro/Fillmore Central got some runs late to take Game two of the doubleheader. When I went up to talk to Bill and Bryan, though, I got to see some history...
Where Are the Best Spring Sport Concession Stands?
As you know, we do a lot of sports around here. And when we're not calling the games, sometimes I just head down and enjoy one when I get off work. And what helps me enjoy the game? Some good food and drink at the concession stands.
I haven't had the time to go to all the areas, but when I've gone to a game hungry, here is what I found:

Twins Making Good Moves
After such a good streak, the Twins dropped a series this past weekend to the Boston Red Sox. Sunday's 8th and 9th innings were a bit brutal, and one of the roster moves had a bit of an impact.
So one good thing is that we sent Kyle Gibson...

Saturday Sunburn Fading
Saturday morning, I had the call of Mabel-Canton vs. Rushford-Peterson baseball on KFIL. I was up in the box having a grand old time, but once I wrapped up the postgame, I wanted to catch the B-teams. I got slightly sunburnt.
I had not completely planned ahead for standing right out in the sun for a couple hours, but it was such a beautiful day out, and I found a perfect spot to stand and see all

May the 4th Be With You?
Today, we mark National Star Wars Day, where we mis-speak the common phrase, "May the Force Be With You" to tell everyone the current date.
To be completely honest with you all, I have never watched any of the movies. Not a single one...

Dog Stops Roomba Vacuum
Man's best friend, right? Well this pup thinks cleaning the floor isn't a high priority.
I sometimes look at what's going on on the Youtubes, and sometimes it's the animals that are most entertaining. This time it's a dog that doesn't like the Roomba automatic vacuum...
