Are These the Perfect Seats to Catch a Home Run Ball at Target Field?
It's about time someone figured this stuff out!
Anytime you visit your favorite teams ballpark, it's every fans goal to walk away from the game with some kind of souvenir when the final out is made. Whether it be a piece of memorabilia or team gear from the clubhouse, or even better, a home run ball hit by your favorite player is always the ultimate goal.
Well thanks to analytics and other types of math that I'll never take the time to understand, SeatGeek.com put together charts that showcase both which ballparks throughout the MLB get the most home runs hit and within each ballpark where you should be to have the best shot at getting a home run ball hit your way!
But the important part is knowing where to sit.
At Target Field, the most likely section to receive a home run ball from the batters is section 130, which is located in left center field:
On Saturday I stopped by the ticket office before my wife and I attended our first Twins game of the year, and asked the teller what the average ticket price was in section 130... and it's only $24!
So the way it sounds is you can have a rather inexpensive night at the ballpark and up your odds of catching a Miguel Sano blast, or even a Brian Dozier dinger!
Here's what it looks like sitting in Section 130. Not too bad huh?
