Anderson, a U.S. Armed Forces veteran, passed away at the amazing age of 101 in January of 2015. According to a press release from PACC Executive Director Gabby Kinneberg, Amos was a member of the Preston Lions Club, Garden Club, and Preston VFW.  He served in WW II, touring overseas in Germany, Italy and France.  He was an employee of the United States Postal Service and Preston Apple Orchard.  Kinneberg goes on to state "he was well-known for his firm hand shake, great hair and warm smile.  He was a vibrant part of the Preston community and he is missed by many."

The PACC Christmas tree dedication ceremony in memory of Amos Anderson will be held at Preston City Hall Sunday December 10 beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The ceremony will include messages from local veterans and a dedication prayer from Christ Lutheran Church Pastor Dan Bredberg.  Everyone is welcomed to attend the ceremony.
