$250,000 Bail Set In Rochester Child Porn Case
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A search warrant was executed at a Rochester residence Monday that was linked to a child porn investigation.
It began last October when a Rochester police investigator was given videos "involving children that appeared to be as young as five engaged in sexual acts including vaginal penetration.”
During the search, Rochester police officers and state BCA agents seized a cellphone and several electronic devices that belonged to 31-year-old Joshua Coop. After a preliminary check of the phone turned up evidence of child porn, Coop was arrested.

Investigators later found more than 80 child porn videos on the phone. According to the criminal complaint, “Many, if not all, depicted juveniles in sexual acts.” One involved a juvenile female Coop is familiar with.
The criminal complaint indicates the investigation continues, which could lead to more charges against Coop. He was arraigned Wednesday on five felony child porn charges and his conditional bail was set at $250,000. As of Thursday morning, he was still being held in the Olmsted County jail.
