Traffic Wreck Kills Northeast Minnesota Woman, Young Child
McGregor, MN (KROC AM News) - A traffic wreck in northeast Minnesota has killed a woman and young child.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 36-year-old Rebekah Siebert of McGregor was driving on Highway 210 around 7:00 PM Tuesday when she lost control on the wet roadway and slid sideways into an oncoming pickup truck.
Siebert was killed as was 5-year-old Charlotte Chouinard. It’s not known what their relationship was. A passenger - 15-year-old Jack Seibert - was seriously injured.
A Duluth man - 64-year-old Edward Ruhnke - was driving the truck. He and 63-year-old Debra Jo Ruhnke of Duluth - were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
