There Is Going To Be A Southern Minnesota Cat Video Night
As odd as it sounds, people really love watching cat videos. There is even a TV channel for the cat videos on the Pluto TV app for an Amazon Fire Stick. They even got their own festival in the Twin Cities! Now a miniature 45-minute cat video night is coming to Southern Minnesota next Thursday night. It will be in Fountain Lake Park in Albert Lea after their Thursdays on Fountain Program and it's absolutely FREE.
The cat video presentation was an offshoot of the cat video festival that was held this year at CHS Field in St. Paul. Jennifer Nelson with the City of Albert Lea's Parks and Recreation Department says that the event will last about 45 minutes and features submitted photos and videos of local cats at their finest.
In addition to the cat videos, the Freeborn County Humane Society will also be on hand to sell t-shirts as a fundraiser. There will be a sandbox renamed a "litterbox" for kids to play in and there is also some crafts for the kids. The event was supposed to take place last night but was rained out.
If you are into cats, have a cat, or just enjoy doing something different for an evening give it a shot.
