Mower County Resident Injured In Highway 52 Crash In Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - One Mower County resident was injured in a crash on Highway 52 Thursday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 19-year-old Sara Kasel of LeRoy was traveling in a GMC Acadia northbound on Highway 52 near the 37th St. exit when the BMW traveling in front of her abruptly hit the brakes because of traffic congestion. The Acadia rear-ended the BMW injuring the passenger in the Acadia, 18-year-old Cierria Unlwelling of Rose Creek.
Unlwelling was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with what is described as non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the BMW, 53-year-old John Santelli and Theresa Santelli both of Shorewood, Minnesota, were not injured in the crash.
Road conditions were described as wet at the time of the crash.
