The One Thing Everyone Going to The Minnesota State Fair Needs To Have
The Minnesota State Fair kicks off this week with higher ticket prices and shorter hours this week. A trip to the event can easily cost a family hundreds of dollars, but there's one thing that can help you save a ton of cash.

When is the 2022 Minnesota State Fair?
The annual event is scheduled for August 25th through Labor Day. This year's fair will open one hour later and close one hour earlier every day except the final day.
From Aug. 25 - Sept. 4, the fair will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
On Labor Day, the final day of the fair, the gates will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m
How Much Does The Minnesota State Fair Cost?
When you factor in admission, parking, food, drinks, rides, vendors, and everything else the average person spends a little over $100 each day they attend the fair.
Organizers have raised the ticket price this year.
- Children under 4 get in free.
- Seniors and kids will be charged $15.
- Adult tickets are $17.

Discounts and Deals! How to Save at the Minnesota State Fair
Don't pay gate prices for tickets! If you plan ahead and order your tickets online by August 24th you can save a few bucks.
Advance tickets are available for $14.
If you don't get advance tickets in time, don't worry. You can still save on admission at the gate on select days.
Thursday is opening day and there will be discounted admission prices at the entrance gates: $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and kids.
Monday, August 29th and Thursday, September 1st will both be Senior days with discounted tickets for people 65+.
Tuesday, August 30th is Military Appreciation Day with discounts for active and retired military and their spouses.
Look for discounted tickets for kids on Wednesday, August 31st, and Monday, September 5th.
