World Fiddle Day is coming up on May 20th, which made me think. What are the best songs out there with a fiddle, or have to do with a fiddle as a subject? The fiddle is one of the most well-known instruments in country music, and frankly, can you ever have too much fiddle?

1. If You Gonna Play in Texas - Alabama

It is one of my favorite songs to start, and you know you have to have a fiddle in your band! It is completely necessary! This song is one that everyone knows the words too, and loves to sing along. Just play it in a country bar and see what happens! Here they are at Farm Aid!

2. Devil Went Down To Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band

This should probably be number 1, because it is sooooo good! I love this song and the fiddle solo is fantastic! Check them out at the Grand Ole Opry!

3. Callin' Baton Rouge - Garth Brooks

This is one of my favorite Garth Brooks songs, and the fiddle is absolutely dynamite and makes the song complete! I am always jamming when it comes on because it is so good!
