
Suspected Impaired Driver Crashes Into Minnesota Squad Car

North Branch, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minnesota deputy who was on patrol as part of an ongoing enforcement effort aimed at keeping roads safe had a close call Friday.
His squad was hit by a suspected impaired driver.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office says Sgt. Kyle Puelston was working an enforcement shift when the incident happened.
Here the news release about the incident:
“At about 10:30pm Sgt. Puelston was completing a traffic stop near the intersection of St. Croix Trail and Hemingway Ave. in North Branch. His squad was struck from behind by a Dodge Ram pick-up truck. Sgt. Puelston was taken to a local hospital and was treated and released for his injuries. The driver of the Ram was identified as Jessica Anne Kepner. Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. She is currently being held at the Chisago County Jail and formal charges are expected to be filed Monday. “
