Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - No arrests had been made as of Monday morning in connection to a shooting at a Rochester apartment building.

The shooting took place Friday night and new information released Monday by police indicates it’s a surprise no one was hurt.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says two men in a car pulled up to the building at 885 16th Ave SE around 8:45 pm and moments later, several shots were fired at the building. The men then got back into the car and drove off. It was described as a dark-colored Crown Victoria model. The men were described as black and both were wearing hoodies.

It was later determined many of the rounds hit the building, including three of the units.

Moilanen says several of the units in the building were occupied but no one was hurt. He says 11 shell casings were found at the scene.

Moilanen says officers were called to the building earlier in the evening to check a report of a fight. He said there is an “ongoing dispute” between some of the tenants but it’s not known if that is related to the shooting.

News update: Plumbing pipes were stolen from Rochester business and the thieves left the water running.
