Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - It is official, the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death of a man found earlier this week on a rural a southeast Rochester Road a homicide.

The anti-climatic announcement was made this morning by Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson, who also identified the county's first homicide victim of the year as 28-year-old Garad Hassan Roble of Rochester. At last report, there had been no arrests in the case but Sheriff Torgerson says "we believe there are a number of folks involved."

A passerby discovered Roble's body lying in the middle of 45th Street Southeast, about a mile east of the Shoppes on Maine complex, around 3:45 AM Tuesday. Investigators later determined he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Anyone with information about the shooting victim, particularly concerning his associations and activities in the days before his murder, are urged to contact the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office at 507-328-6800.
