
Rochester Man Severely Injured in Winona Crash

Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man was transported to a hospital in La Crosse with life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash in Winona last night.
The State Patrol says 23-year-old Javon Kunkel was driving on the street that intersects with Highway 61 around 6:45 PM when his car collided with two vehicles traveling north on the highway. The crash report on Kunkel indicates alcohol was involved.
The drivers of the other vehicles, 50-year-old Trang Thu Thi Le of Rochester and 45-year-old Karla Winter of Winona suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. The Rochester woman was transported to St. Mary's Hospital while the other driver was taken to the Winona hospital for treatment.
