Rochester Man Charged With Alcohol-Involved Fatal Crash
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - Conditional bail was set at $50,000 for a Rochester man after he was formally arraigned in Goodhue County Court on two counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
34-year-old Dustin Hicks also faces gross misdemeanor counts of DWI and driving after cancellation in connection with a fatal traffic crash that occurred early Saturday. The Goodhue County Sheriff's Department says Hicks was arrested following a rollover crash along a rural road about four miles west of Red Wing.
The Sheriff's Department identified Hicks as the driver of the vehicle. His passenger, identified as 34-year-old Krista Koblitz of Rochester, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hicks’ criminal history includes three previous DWI convictions in Olmsted and Wabasha Counties. The most recent was in 2011 and resulted in a sentence of 90-days in jail and three years on probation.
