One Person Dead After High-Speed Wreck On I-35
Wyoming, MN (KROC AM News) - One person is dead and another person is injured after a high-speed crash on Southbound I-35 in Chisago County Friday night. The Minnesota State Patrol’s report indicated that alcohol is believed to be involved.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports a Cadillac, driven by 52-year-old Christine Risberg of South St. Paul, was traveling southbound on I-35 at a high rate of speed and rear-ended a Ford Econoline, driven by 49-year-old Lisa Torell of Braham at milepost 134 near Wyoming around 11:25.
The Econoline rolled into the ditch and Torell was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cadillac went off the road but stayed upright, and the Risberg was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale with non-life threatening injuries. The state patrol’s report indicated that there was alcohol in Risberg’s system.
