Minneapolis Man Sentenced For Violent Armed Robbery
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Minneapolis man has been sentenced in federal court for his conviction in a deadly attempted robbery case.

Police said 31-year-old Marlow Carson was armed when he entered a business last April in Minneapolis. He pointed a handgun at the owner, demanding money.
When Carson tried to get behind the counter, a friend of the owner tried to close the door and was shot several times point-blank, in the chest. He later died.
Carson pleaded guilty in December. Monday, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
He was also charged with 2nd-degree murder in Hennepin County. He pleaded guilty on March 1st. He will be sentenced on March 29th.
