For the past 35 years, Karl Urbaniak has been the leader of both the Mabel-Canton Football and Baseball teams, and now in 2020, Urbaniak is headed to the hall of fame.

The 56th annual Football Hall of Fame Banquet of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association is scheduled for March 28th where they will be honoring four coaches across the state of Minnesota as inductees into the hall of fame.

Urbaniak, who has coached at Mabel-Canton since 1985, will join Walter Huning from Duluth Denfeld, Jeff Mumm of Thief River Falls, and Mike Quist of Gaylord, as the 2020 Hall of Fame Class.

The banquet will also honor Sub-District Coaches, Section, Class, State and Assistant Coach of the year.

Tickets are available and you can get them at the Minnesota Football Coaches website.

Coach Urbaniak is always a joy to talk too, and he never misses a Saturday morning Coach's Corner show where he shares his passion and insight on every football game that the Cougars compete in.

Congrats, Coach Urbaniak, on a well-deserved honor.
