Kingsland's Nick Eickhoff jumped an inbounds pass and sprinted to the hoop for a layup at the buzzer to give the Kingsland Knights a 63-61 win over Fillmore Central Friday night.

The Kingsland Knights hosted Fillmore Central in a boys and girls doubleheader and neither game disappointed. The boys started things off with a buzzer-beater, hot shooting and some stellar defense when needed.

The Falcons came out firing from deep. Zach Haugerud and Haidyn Gunderson couldn't miss early as they combined to knock-down nine of the team's 10 first-half 3's to help the Falcons take a 35-32 lead into the break.

The Falcons hot shooting pushed them to a 20-12 lead early, but Kingsland was able to battle back. Walker Erdman's 15 first-half points were key for the Knights to cut the lead down. Brady Musel had 14 second-half points to help the Knights take their first lead of the second half at 41-40.

Fillmore Central was able to get some key buckets late, including from Carson Kiehne who hit a layup with under a minute to go to tie the game at 61. After two errant throws in the final inbound with 2.5 seconds left, the Falcons had a chance to get the final shot off. Yet, the Eickhoff was able to steal the inbound pass and get the layup off before the buzzer and earned a 63-61 win for Kingsland.

Gunderson finished with 21 to lead the Falcons, while Haugerud finished with 20. Erdman finished with 25 to pace Kingsland while Musel added 18.

The Knights moved to 4-5 with the win, while the Falcons fell to 3-6.
