With Twins baseball and the World Baseball Classic on these days, I am very much looking forward to being outdoors in warm weather. But the old Twins ballpark was always interesting to leave.

Looking at the weather today, I saw that the listening area is in a Wind Advisory until 6:00 PM. It's almost as windy as when you would leave the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The old stadium, torn down and replaced by the Vikings new stadium, was an indoor multi-purpose facility and home of the Twins from 1982-2009. It was also the only stadium I know of that was inflated. When you left, the wind was brutal, One time I was hauling out some popcorn I didn't finish during one intense win over the White Sox, and I had to cover that up with my hat so I wouldn't lose it!

There were other quirks to the stadium with the ball being lost in the white roof, the "baggie" in right field covering up some football seats. Two World Series champion teams also played there. I just can't wait for the World Series to be played at Target Field one day. Here's to the Twins getting better!
