I Didn’t Stand Still During the Stand Still

Saturday marked another Stand Still Parade in Whalan. Though it was wet, the show went on. As you may have heard, I got to eat some lefse there too.

So the parade started with the Lanesboro band playing under some covering. As I walked around, I saw a clever exhibit called "Stan's Still at the Parade." That was a cool play on words of the Stand Still Parade. There was also a petting zoo and music that I enjoyed.

The Rutabaga Brothers were playing some good tunes at noon. And there was a bagpipes player not paying attention to the "Stand Still" part of the parade, walking away from me. Did you make it to Whalan this year?
