The Minnesota State Fair kicks off next week and will feature a ton of new food and drinks to go along with all of your favorites like Sweet Martha's Cookies. You can actually see 65 food items that you'll be able to find on a stick at the bottom of this story. If you're not careful you can spend a fortune on food and snacks at the fair so make sure to take advantage of the coupons that are available.

A few years ago, KARE 11 tried to figure out how much a “normal” day at the fair would cost. They factored in the price of parking, admission, 2 snacks, lunch, 5 rides, and a souvenir.  $106 was the total they came up with for an average day at the fair for ONE adult. But, no one goes by themselves, right?  You go with your significant other and your kids.  A normal day at the fair can be quite expensive for a family, but there are ways to save.

Blue Ribbon Bargain Books are full of coupons and are available (while supplies last) all around the state of Minnesota including at several locations here in the southeast corner of the state.
